My Uncle made a stool just like this one when he was at school. I remember sitting on it when I was little. I wonder if he still has it. I really liked the soft, shiny bright orange leather that he used for the seat. Hmmmmm.
Patti Smith has had quite an extraordinaire life. Less known was her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe which she just wrote about in her Memoirs: Just Kids. An amazing book, highly recommended.
